Rabbit Subaru RS-3

Rabbit Subaru RS-3 is Fuji Rabbit based prototype 3wheeler made in 1965.
Its characteristic is variable tread for parking utility. It can be varied electrically
from 1050mm to 670mm even on running. Unfortunately the production plan was cancelled.

The designer of rabbit subaru was an engineer of a local factory of FHI.
He made the car on his own authority without support of the company.
This just looks like the relation between Fritz Fend and Messerschmitt company.
But the production plan was canceled and he failed to become Fritz Fend in Japan.
Therefore rabbit subaru is not mentioned in the official history of FHI/subaru.
